Overview
Candace is a research fellow at Nodes Advisors based out of Los Angeles, California. With a background in technology development and cutting-edge genomics, Candace provides expertise in the biotechnology research and development, having worked at Stanford University, University of Berkeley, California (UCB), University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is currently an MD-PhD candidate at the UCLA/CalTech Medical Scientist Training Program.
Prior to joining Nodes Advisors, she worked as a microbiology and metagenomics researcher in the COVID-19 pandemic, liquid biopsies, and rare disease genomics, with a specialty in CRISPR, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) research, and has published papers in Cell, Science, and Nature Medicine.
